Scope of application
This privacy statement provides information to users about the nature, scope and purpose of the collection and use of personal data on the site (hereinafter "website") provided by TAM Thüringer Agrartechnik & Maschinenbau GmbH (hereinafter "TAM" or the "provider").
The legal foundations for the protection of data are set forth in the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), the Telemedia Act (TMG), the Telecommunications Act (TKG), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the Law on Increasing the Security of Information Technology Systems (ITSiG).
According to § 13 TMG, website operators are "[...] to the extent that this is technically possible and economically reasonable [obliged] to ensure, within the scope of their respective responsibility for commercial telemedia, through technical and organizational precautions that [...] the technical equipment used [...] ] is protected against breaches of the protection of personal data […]”. The transfer of data to and from this website is protected with certified SSL encryption, but for reasons of compatibility an unencrypted connection is also made available. If your browser does not automatically use the encrypted connection, you can activate encryption manually at this link.
Some client programs do validate these certificates. These enable the certifying authority to track which domains were visited from your IP. Such mechanisms are far beyond TAM's sphere of influence.
Access data/server log files
The access data includes:
- Name of the website/file accessed
- Date and time of the access
- Amount of data transferred
- Notification of successful access
- Browser type and version
- The user’s operating system
- Referrer URL (the website visited immediately beforehand)
- IP address and the requesting provider
The provider uses the data only for statistical purposes, to operate the site, to ensure its security, and to further optimise it. The provider reserves the right to check log data at a later time, if specific facts indicate a reasonable suspicion of unlawful use of the site. The log files also give us insights into how our site is being used. For example, we can learn which pages are particularly popular. In the end, the results of this analysis are available in statistical form and are anonymous. We do not use IP addresses to identify users. We store said IP addresses for a maximum of fourteen days.
We use intrusion detection systems (IDS) based on the log files; these can store the IP address and related data beyond this period if the site has been used in an allegedly illegal or improper.
Handling of personal data
Personal data is information which can identify a person, i.e. information that can be traced back to a special individual. This includes information such as your real name, address, postal address, and phone number. It does not include information which cannot be directly linked to your real identity, e.g. your favourite web sites, hobbies, memberships, or other preferences.
The provider only collects, uses and discloses the user's data if the user has not objected by opting out. The relevant third parties to whom the data may be disclosed are named individually below. You can use our website without disclosing your identity. It is up to you to decide whether to reveal your identity for personalised services. We store your details on specially protected servers in Germany. Access to the data is only possible for a few specially authorised and properly instructed persons who are responsible for the technical, commercial, or editorial support of the servers or the site. Non-anonymised data will only be stored for as long as is necessary to contact you or as required by statutory retention requirements, e.g. for tax or accounting purposes.
When you contact the provider (for example, via the contact form or by email), your information is saved in order to process your inquiry as well to answer any possible follow-up questions. You also consent to the transfer of your transmitted data to third parties for processing purposes.
Use of web fonts
Use of Google Maps
Use of jQuery via CDN
Use of YouTube
You can find many online advertising cookies from companies via the US site http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ or the EU site http://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices/.
However, if IP anonymisation is activated on this website, your IP address will first be truncated by Google within the member states of the European Union or in other signatory states that are contracting parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the United States and shortened there. IP anonymisation is active on this website. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, for compiling reports on website activity, and for providing to the website operator other services relating to the website activity and internet activity.
The IP address provided by your browser in the framework of Google Analytics will not be combined with other data from Google. Users can prevent cookies from being saved by selecting the appropriate setting in their browser software. However, this website does point out to users that in this case it is possible that they may not be able to use all the features of the website to their full extent. You can also prevent the data generated by cookies regarding your website use (incl. your IP address) from being passed to Google, and the processing of these data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.
As an alternative to a browser add-on or for browsers on mobile devices, please click this link in order to avoid future detection by Google Analytics on this website. This stores an opt-out cookie on your device. If you delete your cookies, you will need to click on the link again.
The use of Facebook social plugins
This website uses social plugins from the social network facebook.com, which is operated by Facebook Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland. The plugins are identifiable by a Facebook logo (white "f" on a blue tile, the terms "Like" or a "thumbs up" sign) or are marked with the phrase "Facebook Social Plugin". The list and the appearance of Facebook social plugins can be viewed here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/.
When you visit a page on this website which contains such a plugin, your browser is connected directly to the Facebook servers. The content of the plugin is transferred from Facebook directly to your browser, and your browser embeds it into the website. The provider therefore has no influence on the amount of data that Facebook collects using this plugin and therefore informs the user to the best of their knowledge:
By including the plugin, Facebook receives the information that a user has accessed the corresponding page of the website. If you are logged in to Facebook, Facebook can assign the visit to your Facebook account. If you interact with the plug-ins, for example by clicking the Like button or writing a comment, the corresponding information is directly transmitted from your browser to Facebook to be stored there. If the user is not a member of Facebook, there is still the possibility that Facebook will receive their IP address and store it. According to Facebook, only anonymised IP addresses are stored in Germany.
If a user is a member of Facebook, but does not want Facebook to collect data about them using the Offer and link it to their member data stored in Facebook, they must log out from Facebook before visiting the website. Further settings and contradictions regarding the use of data for advertising purposes are possible within the Facebook profile settings: www.facebook.com/settings?tab=ads.
The information generated by cookies and web beacons relating to your use of this website (including your IP address), and delivery of advertising formats, is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. This information can be passed on from Google to contracting parties of Google. However, Google will not associate your IP address with other data stored about you.
Users can prevent the installation of cookies by adjusting their browser software settings accordingly; however, the provider advises users that in this case they may not be able to fully utilize all the features of this website. By using this website, you agree to the processing of data relating to you and collected by Google as described and for the purposes set out above.
Rescission, changes, corrections, and updates
You have the right to be given information about the personal data we store about you, on request and free of charge. In addition, you have the right to correct inaccurate data and to block and delete your personal data provided that there is no legal obligation for us to retain it.

Information can be obtained free of charge once per calendar year; any further information request may incur a fee, provided that there is no demonstrable evidence of inadmissibly or incorrectly stored data.
